MultiVersus to Add Samurai Jack Tomorrow, Beetlejuice Soon

July 22, 2024 by Carley Garcia

The chaos continues to grow.

In May, MultiVersus returned to online storefronts after a year offline for fine-tuning. The title continues to add popular characters from pop culture past and present, and fans can now look forward to two more familiar faces: Samurai Jack and Beetlejuice. The pair is being added as part of the title’s second season titled “Season 2: Back in Time.”

Samurai Jack will be available tomorrow, July 23. Check out a trailer below:

Beetlejuice doesn’t have a release date just yet, but the character will be added ahead of the release of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice in theaters on September 6.

“In the new MultiVersus gameplay trailer, Samurai Jack’s fighting skills as a Bruiser class character are on full display, which utilize his mystical katana blade, agile footwork, and quick reflexes to send opponents flying off the map,” writes Warner Bros. Games.

Ranked mode will be added to the game tomorrow, July 23, giving players the chance to participate in 1v1 and 2v2 matches while competing for leaderboard points to snag exclusive rank-based cosmetics. Season 2 will also add the Water Tower, a new map where players can duke it out on the iconic Warner Bros. Water Tower, with surprise nods to popular Warner Bros. Discovery characters and franchises.

MultiVersus is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Two new modes were recently added to the MultiVersus: Spectator and Free-For-All. Spectator mode can be used in custom games and supports up to four players, while Free-For-All mode removes the team element from four-player matches. The first player to score four ringouts wins.
