Fortnite Welcomes Alan Wake, Michael Myers, and Jack Skellington

October 11, 2023 by Todd Black

Well…this is Halloween…this is Halloween…

UPDATE

Which of these classic characters from the Halloween season are you going to play when their skins come out? Let us know below!

ORIGINAL STORY

Just when you thought that Fortnite couldn’t get any more crossover characters or make a “big splash” with fans by adding new skins for them to be, they come out and pull a trio that people will be excited about. We’re currently a third of the way into October, somehow, and that means we’re getting ever closer to Halloween, so it’s only appropriate that the game brings in some classic Halloween characters to help scare up some attention and make fans of all types happy. The three characters in question are Alan Wake, Michael Myers, and Jack Skellington. We’ll happily break down why these three are relevant.

Alan Wake comes from the video game series named after him. His first game was a unique horror title about an author searching for his partner in a mysterious place. He slowly loses his mind as he continues to find pages of a book he doesn’t remember writing and has to face off against monsters using his flashlight and weapon. The game is a classic, and it took many years to get a sequel, but one is finally coming. So now is the perfect time for fans to get to play him in Fortnite.

As for Michael Myers, the villain, not the actor, it’s honestly a little shocking he hasn’t been brought into the game yet. He’s one of the all-time classic horror movie villains and has been known to be an unstoppable killing machine that simply will not die! Even if you don’t fully understand his story or timeline, which is fine because most people don’t, you know the look of Myers, his music, and his trademark knife that he’s used to kill many people. While he won’t be doing that in the Epic Games title, you can still freak people out by wearing his skin.

Finally, we have the one and only Jack Skellington, the King of Halloween and the master of terror…in a Disney-style way, of course. Hailing from the beloved movie The Nightmare Before Christmas, Jack is a being who wants to understand more about the thing called Christmas that he discovers. Eventually, he realizes that Halloween is all he really needs and is grateful to all the friends who help him be the king of the pumpkin patch. As you can see in the tweet below, Jack, Michael, and Alan all have detailed skins, and Jack even has his Christmas suit!

No release date for the trio has been given, but we all know it’ll come this month.
