You might be surprised by that since Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III just had its official gameplay trailer reveal. However, there was a small mention regarding the Zombies mode in a new official blog post.
Activision just got done revealing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III to the masses. Like past installments, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III was unveiled during an in-game event for Call of Duty Warzone. That forced some players to go through a series of objectives to unlock a trailer showcasing the game. Fortunately, the trailer is now available for everyone to view in case you missed the event. You’ll be able to view that trailer in the video embedded below. However, a follow-up blog post on the official Call of Duty website did highlight some more information.
One of the components mentioned in this blog post was the Zombies mode. It’s set to be different than past games. Players will instead team up with other squads as they attempt to fight and survive the deadly hordes of Zombies. It’s also considered the largest Call of Duty Zombies map ever created. We know that this game mode for the upcoming installment will tell a new storyline featuring Dark Aether Zombies. Players will battle across different regions, each proving to be difficult to overcome. Meanwhile, the goal seems to find a way of extraction as you’re fighting some of the biggest and deadliest enemies in Call of Duty history.
More details will likely come regarding the Zombies mode as we get closer to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III’s release date. As it stands right now, the development team is aiming to deliver this thrilling new installment into the marketplace on November 10, 2023. When it does, you’ll find that the multiplayer component outside of the Zombies mode will feature sixteen of the 2009 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II launch maps.
