Announced through a press release earlier today, Knights of Pen & Paper II will receive a brand new expansion. The latest expansion is called Back to the Source and will grant players with new classes, a dungeon, higher skill caps, and more. Best of all, this expansion is releasing completely for free so long as you own Knights of Pen & Paper II.
Knights of Pen & Paper II was developed by Kyy Games and published through Paradox Interactive last year. Overall, the game is a turn-based RPG where players will control a party guided through adventures by the Game Master. Today, a new free expansion has allowed the developers to further support the title, but also grants players brand new content to enjoy.
Back to the Source adds a few new tweaks and additions to Knights of Pen & Paper II. For starters, a few mechanic changes were made such as halving the random factor in Turn Order calculation, adjusting the Health to alter results for smaller Health Pools, along with adjusting the Energy Pools.
There are two new character classes, an all-new mega-dungeon, the Thief’s Backstab damage has been buffed by +1 per skill point while the Cleric’s Purge was reduced by 1 less healing per skill point. Items were also tweaked just a bit as well. The Pheonix Up was buffed to restore 50% of Health, Enchantment Scroll prices have been reduced, and the Magic Mushroom’s price was slightly increased.
If you haven’t picked up Knights of Pen & Paper II yet then you may want to check out the also newly announced Deluxiest Edition. This edition of the game comes with Knights of Pen & Paper II, its three expansions, an Epic Mount, art book, an exclusive in-game location known as The Grinding Farm, along with a soundtrack for the price of $14.99 on Steam.
