Guild Wars 2’s Super Adventure Box has returned to the MMO ahead of April Fool’s Day tomorrow to celebrate the occasion.
This time round, it’s called the Super Adventure Festival and any player who logs into the game can explore a retro-style universe of monsters, puzzles, and “sick” 8-bit Minecraft-like graphics according to a press release. A range of weapon skins and guild hall decorations will also be available as rewards from Moto, the Asuran inventor of the Super Adventure Box.
Here’s what you can expect from the Festival:
- TOTALLY BODACIOUS: Heart of Thorns players can make their own Super Adventure 8-bit jumping puzzles in their guild halls
- TUBULAR: Super Adventure Festival will last at least two weeks, much longer than the usual 24 hours of April Fool’s game updates
- GNARLY: The Super Adventure Festival will return every year to Guild Wars 2 as an annual event
- BE KIND, REWIND: Players can go back and explore Worlds 1 and 2 in the Super Adventure Box in Rata Sum and earn new rewards
Another addition is “AB Guild Hall decorations! That’s right—now you can build your very own super adventures in your guild hall. We can’t wait to see your imagination unleashed! A few new brave (and very fancy) shopkeepers have set up deviously hidden stores—two in each zone—where you can find Furniture Coins to use in decoration recipes.”
The Super Adventure Festival is currently live for all Guild Wars 2 players. Details of World One and World Two are available on the game’s website.
