Humanity is a unique puzzle game that sees the player take control of a celestial dog while guiding hordes of people to get to the end of a stage. While that may sound a little outlandish, the game adopts a mellow and ethereal tone as players solve its many puzzles.
The game starts off relatively simple, however, as it continues, it gets progressively more and more complicated as new mechanics are added and the player is tasked with even more objectives. The first thing for players to master in the game’s first level, “Prologue 01: To Begin With…,” is how to turn the massive hordes of people before they lead themselves off of a cliff into the seemingly endless void below. Luckily, turning the crowds is very simple as it’s the core mechanic that Humanity builds itself on.
Here’s everything you need to know about how to solve Prologue 01: To Begin With… in Humanity.
Prologue 01: To Begin With… Puzzle Solution
When the level first starts, players will be greeted with some text that explains that the game’s central character suddenly woke up as a dog made of light one day. They’re then tasked with guiding the humans as they walk forward mindlessly and endlessly.
A tutorial box will pop up that tells you how to control the game: use the left stick to move and the X button to jump. Head to the right to the first question mark that’s painted on the floor. It’ll give you a quick tutorial on how to move the camera: use the right stick to turn it around the dog and the up and down buttons on the D-pad to zoom in and out of the scene.
Continue to the right and you’ll be stopped with more text that tells you, once again, to guide the people as they march onward. The camera will then move to show you the square of white light that you’ll need to lead the people toward. Another tutorial will appear telling you that you can guide the people by laying down directions. When the people touch the point on the ground that you laid down your command, they’ll turn in the direction you lead.
Put one directional arrow to the left (away from the lone pine tree at the edge of the platform) and then one pointing toward the exit square at the end of the path. Once they hit the white square and begin to ascend, the level will be complete.
