Capcom has opened a new survey asking gamers if they want a Mega Man 11.
The survey was sent out to Japanese gamers who bought a copy of Rockman Classics Collection, the Japanese vesion of Mega Man Legacy Collection, on 3DS. The survey also asked customers if they were interested in more compilations of other Mega Man series. They named Mega Man X, Mega Man Zero, Mega Man Legends, Mega Man Battle Network, Mega Man ZX, and Mega Man Star Force, as examples of future Mega Man game compilations. The survey is open until April 30.
If you are personally interested in filling out the survey, there is no need to buy Mega Man Legacy Collection yourself. You need only click on the Google Translated version of the page here.
Once one of Capcom’s most popular franchises, Mega Man has not seen a new game release since 2010’s Mega Man 10. It has also not seen a completely new series since Mega Man Star Force and Mega Man ZX in 2006. There have been several attempts to make new Mega Man games since 2010 that never made it to release. This includes a side-scrolling platformer called Mega Man Universe, a realistic FPS called Maverick Hunter, and most famously, the Inafune-helmed 3DS adventure Mega Man Legends 3.
Cacpom stated in 2012 that they were sure there would be more Mega Man games, but they never really lived up to the promise. If fans support the idea enough, they may push through with reexploring the very original series and making a Mega Man 11. Would you like a Mega Man 11? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
