Guns make the world go around in Destiny 2. Heck, guns make Destiny 2 worth playing because for all of its flaws, the one area the game truly excels at, is game-feel and gunplay. We spend far too much time just running around the place just blasting enemies because it’s fun. Everything else is just fancy set dressing.
The latest expansion to Destiny 2, Lightfall, adds a bucket-load of new weapons to play around with, and as is usually the case, the Legendary weapons are the ones that are getting eyebrows up. Strand weapons in particular are highly sought after because, well, there aren’t all that many. Synchronic Roulette is one such weapon.

What Is Synchronic Roulette?
Synchronic Roulette is a Strand SMG with Precision Frame as standard. This weapon is one of the only Strand weapons currently available in Destiny 2, and being an SMG, it fires fast and deals a lot of damage. Taking up a Kinetic slot, Synchronic Roulette is an excellent addition to any build looking for a Strand weapon to clear out adds.
Synchronic Roulette also has some outstanding Perks it can roll with, and these turn it from a great weapon to one that is brutally efficient on the battlefield. We would not be surprised if this weapon became a common sight among Guardians in the future, because it has some serious potential.
It has the following stats as standard:
- Impact – 25
- Range – 48
- Stability – 39
- Handling – 22
- Reload Speed – 19
- Reload Time – 2.48s
- Magazine – 26
How To Obtain Synchronic Roulette
Synchronic Roulette, as far as we are aware, can only drop from locked Terminal Overload Chests. This alone makes it very difficult to obtain this event can be quite a slog to get through, and keys are hard – if not impossible – to get a hold of. What’s more, Synchronic Roulette will only drop if the Terminal Overload Event is taking place in Liming Harbour. Locations rotate daily.
With all of that in mind, it could take days for you to get a hold of Synchronic Roulette, and even when you finally get the chance to grab one, the Perks could be underwhelming. The number of steps – and the grind involved – make getting a “God Roll” very time-consuming – which is to be expected.

Best Perks For Circular Logic
If you have gotten your hands on Synchronic Roulette, it’s time to look at its Perks and see what you want in an ideal world. Of course, getting the perfect Perk loadout is very unlikely, and considering the running around you have to do to get this gun, it may take a long time to even get a half-decent roll.
These are the Perks to look out for:
- Arrowhead Break – Extra handling and a reduction to Recoil help Synchronic Roulette land its shots, increasing its DPS.
- Envious Assassin – This increases your Magazine cap thanks to the Overflow mechanic, whilst also reloading your weapon without having to reload it. Very nice.
- Hatchling – Hatchling will appear as a God-Tier Perk on just about every Strand weapon. This causes Threadlings to spawn when you kill an enemy with a Precision Final Blow, and these Threadlings will seek out nearby enemies and deal damage. This adds a lot of AOE to Synchronic Roulette and can be combined with the Artefact Mod, Allied Unravelling for even more AOE chaos.
