Battlefleet Gothic: Armada, a real time strategy title set in the Warhammer 40K universe, is due at the end of this month, and folks who pre-order this massive space battle game can get immediate access to the beta now.
To get an summary on what it will entail, a new overview trailer has been released by Focus Home Interactive and developers Tindalos Interactive, highlighting the game’s emphasis on ship positioning and team flanking as well as the player’s ability to micromanage and customize their fleets with skills and abilities as they gain experience. The beta will feature two factions, the Orks and the Eldar, and the full solo campaign and additional multiplayer modes will become available with the full release of the game “at the end of March”.
The Early Adopters Edition of Battlefleet Gothic: Armada is now up for pre-order for 10% off on Steam and at the official store. Those who plunk down their cash in advance in addition to immediate access to the beta will also receive the upcoming Space Marines Fleet DLC, which adds another faction to the game, for free.
The offer will be good for up to two months after the official debut of the full game, and the Space Marines Fleet DLC will also be available for purchase following the early adopters period. The downloadable content is expected to come out a few weeks after release of the base game. So far the developers and publisher have not offered a more specific release date so keep an eye on Steam at the end of the month, and for more Battlefront Gothic: Armada news, get caught up over at the Gameranx site tag.
