There will be a lot of chatter about Fire Emblem Engage over the next few days as we prepare for its arrival on Nintendo Switch on Friday. What you need to remember, though, is that the launch of the game will also bring the launch of the first DLC for the game. As revealed at The Game Awards, the title will get an expansion pass, with the first wave coming on the day of its launch! There are several parts to these waves. Some will focus on items, new maps, and other minor additions. But the big thing is we’re getting new Emblem Rings with the spirits of past heroes.
One of those heroes that got revealed for the first waves was the dragon known as Tiki. She has been in the franchise since the beginning and has become a fan favorite. Not the least is because we’ve watched her grow up from one game to the next at times. But in Fire Emblem Engage, we’re getting the younger form of Tiki, not that this makes her weak, because she’s not!
For example, Tiki’s Sync Skill is “Starsphere Protection.” This skill will be a boon to whoever wears her ring. That’s because it’ll help ensure your stats increase whenever you gain a level after getting EXP. That’s a big help to ensure your characters are as strong as possible.
Her weapon is “Eternal Claw,” a reference to how Tiki transforms into a dragon when she attacks. With that claw, you’ll have an easier time landing critical hits. Those do triple damage in combat, so that’ll be nice to have.
Tiki’s Engage Skill is “Shapeshift.” If not obvious, that’ll allow Tiki to enter her dragon form when she is equipped to be a player. The dragon form will give Tiki more HP and boosted stats, making her a stronger ally in battle.
Finally, her Engage Attack is “Diving Dragon Blessing.” This one is pretty special. When you use it, you’ll be next to an ally, and that ally will get a resurrection stone. If that ally loses all their health in battle, the stone will bring them back to life without it needing to be selected by that character. So consider it “insurance” to keep your favorite characters alive.
It must be noted that you can only have one stone on one ally. You can’t stack them with multiple to keep them alive. So remember that when you use this blessing.
