Overwatch 2 has had quite a few glitches and hiccups. It’s not too surprising, as just about every online competitive game is consistently being worked on. New glitches are discovered, and when developers patch these issues, other technical glitches arise. But there is one glitch from the Sombra character that has players quite frustrated. In a new report and video showcased on Reddit, it seems that Sombra has a glitch that can ruin the game match. Here’s what some players are pulling off within the game.
Reddit user Matt221998 took to the Overwatch subreddit community and highlighted a glitch featuring Sombra. The glitch showcases the character using their teleport ability to hide within the payload. You’ll find that once inside, Sombra can’t actually fire and hit any of the targets outside of their newfound home. It still poses a major issue despite not being able to attack an opposing target outside of the structure. You’ll find that Sombra can contest the payload, which means the opposing team will be unable to move it. That should cause Blizzard to make a quick fix.
While there are still conversations going on within the community, some users are pointing out that there is a workaround. Reports online suggest that Sigma and Hanzo could take Sombra out of the payload, but that’s still not an ideal situation. There are even reports stating that this is not the only problematic character, as Trancer can do something similar by recalling inside the payload. Meanwhile, this is not the only time Blizzard had to address this very issue. Another user within the subreddit community noted that this is not a new bug, as it was also featured in the original Overwatch video game.
There are quite a few frustrated players that are hopeful a fix is coming soon. However, it might not be much of a surprise if Blizzard opts to remove the character from the roster completely. We’ve seen the development team pull a character before to patch and balance the game. Hopefully, a fix is coming sooner rather than later for players who want to dive back into the competitive matches with Sombra.
Currently, Overwatch 2 is available as a free-to-play title right now. The game can be downloaded and enjoyed on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and the Nintendo Switch platform.
