Several small video game titles look quite astonishing. However, it’s quite a feat to see a game get started by a single developer that takes the world by surprise. That’s exactly what happened with Lost Soul Aside, a game we’ve been waiting on since 2016. Years have gone into this game, but the single developer found their project quickly getting picked up by a behemoth of a company. Sony managed to swipe this game project up and is aiding the developer to deliver this game on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
Again, this title has been in the news headlines for years. We’ve seen some gameplay footage, but the finer details are a bit scarce. What has so many players eager to dive into this game so far has been the gameplay footage. Players will find this to be a fast-paced fantasy title where our protagonist, Kazer, is fighting off all sorts of enemies with the help of his crystal dragon. There’s no shortage of action gameplay sequences in the latest trailer that dropped online today.
The footage is under two minutes in length, so don’t expect too much gameplay to be showcased. But this gives viewers some insight into what type of game this will be. Likewise, it further confirms that this game will release across both generations of PlayStation consoles, that being the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Unfortunately, the wait for this game might be a good while because we’re still waiting on the actual launch date for this project. At any rate, the development is still progressing forward, and small trailers like this one should help ease some players’ minds that the game production might have stalled.
As mentioned, Lost Soul Aside started as a small indie project, but Sony stepped in and took over publishing. This is one of the projects that’s being aided by Sony’s PlayStation China Hero Project. Essentially, the PlayStation China Hero Project is a program that was started up to help support Chinese developers as they attempt to bring out games into the marketplace. While we wait for the game to finally receive a release date for players to mark down their calendars, you can check out the latest announcement trailer footage in the video embedded above. However, it’s likely that we won’t hear too much more about the Lost Soul Aside until 2023, as we’re soon heading into the holiday season and the end of the year.
