Ubisoft has released a new trailer for Tom Clancy’s The Division which highlights PC gameplay running at 60 frames per second.
As you’d expect, The Division will offer a range of dedicated technical and graphical optimisations on PC that aim to make the experience more immersive. The trailer also puts a spotlight on some of the gameplay advantages offered by the PC version.
The game takes place several weeks after a sweeping pandemic outbreak in New York City on Black Friday. As basic services fail and the city’s society plunges into chaos food and water become valuable commodities. In a bid to restore order, undercover sleeper tactical agents, who appear to be living normal lives among the city’s population, are activated. These agents are known as The Division.
In order to retake the city from the chaos plaguing it, you’ll need to protect civilians from the factions which have emerged and partner with other players to discover the virus’s source.
This past weekend, the game’s open beta became the most popular for a new IP on current-generation consoles with 6.4 million players across the three platforms. If you plan to play the game on PC, a free digital copy is included with sales of select GeForce graphics cards and Logitech keyboards.
