Details have emerged about a new alternate edition to Resident Evil 5, aptly named Resident Evil 5 Alternate Edition. The Game is set to release on the Playstation 3 and will support full motion controls handled through Sony’s new motion controller, which is currently unnamed. Capcom and Sony collectively announced the game at the Tokyo Game Show, the game will combine the original RE5 with motion controls and an additional gameplay episode.
The new episode pairs RE5 hero Chris Redfield with classic RE series character Jill Valentine for a scenario that’s set three years prior to the events of RE5.
The Episode will feature the mansion which appeared in a flashback scene in RE5, but will be a bit different, corrected Capcom.
Producer Jun Takeuchi shared a few additional details on the new episode with Famitsu, a Japanese video game magazine published by Enterbrain Inc., the episode was originally planned as part of the main RE5 release. However, during development it was decided that it didn’t quite fit in with the flow of the rest of the game.
