Epic Games has released a new gameplay trailer for their upcoming multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) title, Paragon, which brings players close to the action with direct 3rd person control.
The game is set to offer a new twist on the MOBA formula made popular by DOTA 2 and League of Legends by giving direct control over characters to players.
The all-new “Rush the Core” gameplay video features two heroes, Sparrow and Gideon, rushing towards the enemy core. Three heroes, Dekker, Steel and Grux, stand in opposition to the assault and defend the base.
Two weeks ago, Epic Games announced the commencement of the first test of the game. The next test has yet to be announced.
The game, revealed last November, is a MOBA title which is said to offer players deep strategic choices and plenty of action as they entry the fray with a large and “ever-expanding” roster of new heroes.
Four of those heroes – Rampage, Kallari, Gadget, and Feng Mao – were unveiled to the world a few months ago. For more on the game, check out our Paragon tag.
Paragon is slated for release later this year on both the PC and PlayStation 4. Early Access begins in Spring 2016, followed by Open Beta later in Summer 2016.
Upon release, the game is set to go head-to-head against a number of other titles including Gigantic, Overwatch, Battleborn, DOTA 2, and League of Legends.
We listed Paragon as one of our top 10 third-person games in 2016. Be sure to check out our video list here.
