Having problems running Street Fighter V on PC? Are there features not running as expected? Check our troubleshooting guide to see if the solutions you are looking for are already here.

First, take note of the minimum and recommended system requirements:

MINIMUM

  • OS: Windows 7 64-bit
  • CPU: Intel Core i3-4160 @ 3.6 GHz
  • RAM: 6 GB
  • Video: Nvidia GTX 480 or higher
  • Sound: DirectX-compatible sound card or onboard chipset
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Internet: Broadband connection required

RECOMMENDED

  • OS: Windows 7 64-bit
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K @3.50GHz
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • Video: Nvidia GTX 960
  • Sound: DirectX-compatible sound card or onboard chipset
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Internet: Broadband connection required

If you’re experiencing crashes at startup, Capcom has yet to release a patch to fix this. Nvidia has released Game Ready drivers, but AMD card users will have to wait for now.

If your arcade joystick is not working with the game, you need to use a third party button mapping tool to remap. Capcom promised to fix this issue and recommended x360ce for now.

If you are trying to use a PlayStation 3 or PlayStation 4 controller on your PC, such as Dualshock controllers, MadCatz Fightpads, and arcade joysticks, you will need more than a button mapping tool. Follow these steps:

  • Extract the contents of the x360ce archive and copy x360ce_x64.exe to this directory:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\StreetFighterV\StreetFighterV\Binaries\Win64

  • Now, launch x360ce and confirm that it recognizes your controller.
  • Choose Controller 1, and then Auto or Manual. Auto will automatically map the buttons, and most of the time it works fine. In case the mapping is not to your liking, of course, you can switch to Manual.

Some fans are seeing their game crash after the Capcom logo shows up. This is a problem withat logo animation itself.

Enter the Steam folder and look for this location:

common\StreetFighterV\StreetFighterV\Content\Movies

Look for OpeningTrPC.wmv. Make a backup, and then delete or rename it.

Some fans are seeing framerate drops down to 5 FPS. This can happen even in high-end PCs. The only solution for now is to downscale the in-game resolution.

If it crashes after playing for a few minutes, follow these steps:

  • Press Windows + R.
  • Type “msc” and hit Enter.
  • Disable the Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel service.

Finally, some fans are seeing crashes with the message:

UE4-KiwiGame has crashed and will close

If you are on Windows 10, run Steam as administrator. Otherwise, you will have to wait on a fix from Capcom.
