The earthquake extended beyond Taiwan’s capital, Taipei, and was felt all the way in the southern parts of China. Taiwan’s official Central News Agency reported at least 18 people dead and 500 injured. 350 were rescued from many collapsed structures in the fallout, while there are still 153 people still unaccounted for. Over eight buildings were damaged by the quake, including a 16 storey residential building called the Weiguan Jinlong.
The Final Fantasy XV developer team seems to have a special relation with Taiwan. They are regular visitors to the annual Taiwan Game Show, and have frequently shared new details at the event. Over a year ago, they also revealed that they were working with Taiwanese studio XPEC Entertainment on the game.
Gameranx shares their condolences to the people in Taiwan, and those affected in particular. If you would like to do your part to help the people of Taiwan, you can donate to their Red Cross Society here.
