Looking forward to more news about Mass Effect Andromeda? Fans are entertaining themselves with some speculation on what they want to see.

This time, fans are talking to each other about the morality system and what form it should take. Resident news specialist and our OP Benelioto wants a return to the Paragon/Renegade system, with less association to the dialogue wheel. This means your morality will be affected by key decisions and interrupts, but the dialogue wheel will act more like Dragon Age‘s dialogue wheel.

User Marcos1598 had the top response, stating that he wanted a return to the themes of Mass Effect 2. In contrast to Mass Effect 3, where Renegade Shepard laid waste to so many races to get support, ME2 Renegade Shepard was mostly focused on the missions. So, Renegade that they are, Shepard wanted to avoid distractions for the most part.

FlamedLips took the conversation to a tangent when he pointed out the example set by Geralt in the Witcher games. Geralt, unlike Shepard, is not malleable, because he has a specific description laid out in the other Witcher media. As a result, Geralt’s choices in the dialogue wheel, whether you lean towards the compassionate or cruel, are Geralt’s own. In contrast, Mass Effect allows you to determine your character, and this is a good thing.

Lastly, frogkisser is the most visible conscientious objector, pointing out the Paragon/Renegade system leans to the extremes and doesn’t let you make decisions in shades of grey. So, he wants the Paragon/Renegade system kept away from conversations. He favors a system close to Dragon Age, and of course, that includes a better indicator for when you’re flirting.

What is your take on the Paragon/Renegade system? Share yoru thoughts with us in the comments.

Mass Effect Andromeda will be released on Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in 2016.
