Ed Boon, the creator of Mortal Kombat, is teasing four new characters that NetherRealm is developing for the latest game in the series, Mortal Kombat X. The four characters will be revealed at the upcoming Game Awards, which takes place this Thursday. He tweeted a picture that reads simply, "Who's Next?"
Boon first announced the addition of new characters, intended for release in a DLC pack, this past September. He tweeted an image containing the silhouettes of four characters.

The content is planned for an early 2016 release, alongside new arenas and skins for pre-existing fighters. The developer did not elaborate further, aside from calling the Game Awards presentation an "exclusive reveal." Presumably, the reveal is one of the many world premieres that the show's host Geoff Keighley mentioned a few days ago.
The 2015 Game Awards will air at 6pm PST on December 3, where several other announcements, including a gameplay reveal of Far Cry Primal and one of Quantum Break will be showcased.
