Quantum Break Teased For The Game Awards

November 30, 2015 by Carlos Chism

The reveal will happen along with nine others Thursday night.

According to show producer and creator Geoff Keighley, The Game Awards will feature a look at new Quantum Break content. Keighley announced on Twitter that X-Men actor and the game’s star, Shawn Ashmore, would make an appearance for the premiere. The show’s official Twitter account also recently teased that the first Far Cry Primal gameplay would be revealed at the show as well. These two teasers are part of ten world premieres happening during the show. The awards have known other exciting reveals in the past, such as No Man’s Sky in 2013.

Quantum Break was originally announced during the Xbox One reveal event in May of 2013. It is being developed by Remedy Entertainment, the same studio behind the first two Max Payne games and Alan Wake. The game’s protagonist, Jack Joyce, wields time manipulation powers, making everything freeze except himself. The rest of the gameplay, from what we’ve seen so far, seems typical for third person action adventure game, and includes 3D puzzles. The game will also feature digital TV episodes in between gameplay segments that intertwine with the game depending on the player’s choices.

Quantum Break is expected to release on April 5, 2016, exclusively for Xbox One. The Game Awards will air live on Thursday at 9 p.m. EST this Thursday.
