Fallout 4 is less than a week away from release, but if you can’t wait to get started, here’s your chance with this unofficial character creator from RPG-Gaming.
The character creator lets you set your gender, name and, most importantly, choose how you want to allocate your 21 points at your character’s outset. Naturally, you can try to be a jack-of-all-trades and spread your 21 points evenly (for the most part) out across all seven attributes. Or, you can try to focus in on just a few attributes as most players are likely to do.
Here’s how my character turned out (spoilers for Fallout 4’s Perks to follow):
First, I spread my points out with a little in each attribute (except Endurance). I spent the most points in intelligence because hacking sounds awesome and more Intelligence results in more experience points to spend when I level up.
Next, I took a look at the Perks available to me. Each point placed in the above screenshot unlocks a new tier in that attribute’s Perk tree that I can spend more points on. Looking at the Intelligence Perks showed a lot of usefulness when it came to hacking, like this one:
But, sneaking is kind of my thing when it comes to Bethesda RPGs, so I couldn’t give up perks like “Mister Sandman.”
Under the Luck attribute, I found a Perk that stood out to me, if only for its uniqueness, which seemed to be a common quality among Luck perks. With “Mysterious Stranger,” a stranger will randomly appear sometimes when you enter Fallout 4’s VATS combat system to aid you. Who is this stranger???
How will you customize your Fallout 4 character? This character creator is unofficial, so it is possible that things will be different in the final version of the game. We’ll just have to wait and see when Fallout 4 is release on Nov. 10 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
