There’s a lot to see in the world of Diablo Immortal, but doing it alone can be a little tricky. Because of the shift in style from the classic solo dungeon crawling of Diablo‘s past to the MMORPG style adopted by the latest game, some players have had a tough time adjusting to make the game work as solo players.
Luckily, playing alone isn’t impossible, but choosing the right starting class can be a big help for those playing solo. If you choose properly, you should have no trouble playing the game alone, but if you choose one of the less desirable solo classes, you might run into some troubles. Barbarian
The Barbarian class is great for those looking to play the game solo while engaging in close-range combat. Barbarians hit hard dealing a lot of damage in a short amount of time making soloing bosses and tankier enemies a breeze. The one thing to look out for when playing as a Barbarian is that they themselves aren’t very tanky meaning that you’ll need to keep an eye on your health when fighting your way through a mob of foes. Luckily, defeated enemies drop health frequently enough and your healing potions should be plentiful enough to keep you on your feet as long as you’re avoiding your foes’ biggest hits.
Wizard
The Wizard is the class for you if you’re looking to play the game using long-range attacks. Because Wizards rely on a lot of long-range AoE attacks, taking out the many mobs scattered across Sanctuary should be no problem, but the major downside to playing the Wizard class is that as soon as the door lock and you’re faced with taking down a boss in close range, you might have some troubles. It’s not impossible to play solo as a Wizard, but this might be a point of contention for some players. As long as you know what you’re getting into, however, Wizards are able to take on just about any challenge.
Crusader
The Crusader class is often lauded as one of the best in the entire game. They’re able to deal devastating damage at close and mid-range and to top it off, they’ve got a large health pool when compared to other classes. If you’re a first-time Diablo player struggling with finding a class to choose, it’s hard to go wrong with the Crusader. Although they don’t deal as much damage as the Barbarian and lack the range of the Wizard, there are a lot of plusses to the Crusader that aren’t featured in many other places.
