In another round of layoffs, Rovio Entertainment has announced that they will reduce their workforce by 213 employees. That's slightly more than the 130 workers the Angry Birds developer laid off last year.
According to a press release, "Rovio Entertainment will restructure and concentrate its activities around three primary business areas: games, media and consumer products. The negotiations applied to the whole organization, excluding those working on the production of the The Angry Birds Movie in the United States and Canada."
The company also went on to reassure that they will "actively provide career support for those made redundant as a result of the reorganization."
Angry Birds 2, the most recent addition to the franchise, just came out on July 30. The Angry Birds Movie hits theaters May 20, 2016.
