Bungie has released update 2.0.1 for Destiny: The Taken King, which makes some notable changes to the shooter hybrid.
The update sees Tess Everis return to the Tower and with new emotes which can be purchased using Silver, a new currency which can be purchased for real world money. You can see videos of all of the emotes in action here.
Silver can be purchased from console stores in the game but as mentioned, you'll need to fork out actual currency. Silver will also be awarded for simply logging-in between now and the end of December.
As nothing in Destiny is easy, at least not for long, Bungie has reduced the number of Strange Coins you can expect to pick from activities.
Faction Rep packages now features four Strange Coins instead of five, while Daily Vanguard and Crucible Bounties have been reduced by around 50%, which is a rather severe drop.
The news for Motes of Light is slightly more mixed. Drops from Public Events have been increased by 100%, while earning XP after you hit level 40 now gets you five instead of three.
However, Faction Rep packages now offer four instead of five and dismantling Rare and Legendary items will now yield 25-30% fewer. As with Strange Coins, drop rates from Vanguard and Crucible Bounties are 50% lower.
Another significant change is that you can now reroll Stat nodes and Upgrades nodes on Exotic armour using a new "Twist Fate" node, which can be purchsed from Xur every weekened using Glimmer, Armour Materials, and a Glass Needle.
More information on the patch, including the full patch notes, is available on Bungie's website.
