Sony has revealed two new Yakuza projects for its platforms.
The first is Yakuza: Kiwami, or Ryu Ga Gotoku: Kiwami, a remake of the original PS2 title. The game is being remade in its entirety in the engine used to power Yakuza 5, with all new graphics, and even includes a new scenario for veterans of the series.
It'll be out in Japan on January 21, 2016 for both PlayStation 3 and 4 platforms. There's no indication that the game will ever be out in the US and Europe, but some of the previous titles did manage to make it outside of Japan.
Additionally, the studio also announced Yakuza 6, exclusive to the PlayStation 4. No details beyond a Fall 2016 release date were provided.
The game's developer Toshiro Nagoshi says that the new entry will be the most exciting one in the series yet.
