Shawn Michaels has just been confirmed not soon after Bret Hart as one of the newest Legends in WWE 2K16.

The Heartbreak Kid is one of the most accomplished and decorated wrestlers in the sport. He is a three-time WWF Champion and a former World Heavyweight Champion. He won the 1995 and 1996 Royal Rumbles and was also his company’s first Grand Slam Champion.
However, Shawn is also one of the most controversial figures in the industry, and this is not contingent solely on the Montreal incident. Shawn has been suspended by the company for testing positive for steroids, figured in a real life behind-the-scenes kliq, had long time animosity with Bret Hart, and was famously attacked in a bar in Syracuse, New York. He is one of the most colorful character the wrestling world has ever seen, in and out of the ring.
While Shawn’s career definitely reached its apex early on, with the Wrestlemania X Intercontinental match with Razor Ramon deserving acclaim alongside his multiple title wins. However, the second decade of his career, where he invariably flirted between retirement and active competition, was also fascinating to watch. Some of Michaels’ best matches within his career were with Bret Hart, Razor Ramon, Triple H, Ric Flair, Mankind, the Undertaker, and Chris Jericho.
Of course, if you were a fan, much of this is no surprise to you, but I’m bringing this up here to point at the potential of other 90s and 00s era superstars, some of whom have also feuded with Steve Austin, to appear in the biggest game yet. Whom among these wrestlers do you want to see in WWE 2K16? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
WWE 2K16 will be released on October 27, 2015, on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.
