A new trailer for Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, featuring historical figures Charles Dickens and Charlies Darwin, was released today by Ubisoft.
The trailer serves primarily as an advertisement for the Darwin and Dickens Conspiracy DLC players will receive when they pre-order Assassin’s Creed Syndicate and introduces both historical figures as key players in the Frye twin’s underground organization. Whether Dickens and Darwin will have reoccurring roles throughout the main game or if they will simply be introduced for players to then embark on the DLC mission remains to be seen.
The mission at hand in Darwin and Dickens Conspiracy will task players with investigating a “highly toxic plant” for which Dickens believes the people of London are in danger.
Assassin’s Creed Syndicate was officially announced last May and will be released on Oct. 23 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. A PC version will follow at a later date. Ubisoft has said that Syndicate will bring back the present day storyline and the conflict between the two opposing factions: the Assassins and the Templars. Present day storyline aside, Syndicate takes place in London, 1868, during the Industrial Revolution. Players will play as Jacob and Evie Frye, twins, who have tasked themselves with a mission to take down the ruling, rich upper class of London, so that they can put an end to the suffering of the poor, starving lower class.
