Bungie is kicking off its livestream series of Destiny: The Taken King leading up to the expansion pack's release on September 15. The broadcast is expected to showcase some of the features in the upcoming title.
The presentation will begin at 11AM PDT / 2PM EDT and will be hosted by executive producer Mark Noseworthy and senior design lead Tyson Green. The duo are expected to talk about how player achievements from the first year will carry over to year two.
The Taken King will feature a new level cap (40), leveling system (normal XP progression), and light. A Guardian in the trailer is shown as having a light level of 214 and we know light will still influence your ability to attempt the game's toughest challenges. There's also a new Quests system and you can now hold up to 16 bounties at a time, up from the current 10. Faction allegiances to the Future War Cult, Dead Orbit, and New Monarchy will also play a role.
Ghosts will have shells which offer certain perks to Guardians, while Xur will make it easier for you to find exotics. Peter Dinklage is being replaced as the voice of the Ghost by Nolan North. Two new Crucible multiplayer modes, Rift and Mayhem, will also be introduced.
You can watch the livestream below when it goes live. Further livestreams are planned on August 25 and September 2.
