Crytek has today announced that there’ll be a group of special Legendary Hunters appearing in Hunt: Showdown for a limited time. Alongside this announcement comes a new trailer, in which the new Hunters can be seen in action.
Fans of this competitive bounty hunting game should be excited to see a new roster of characters joining the ranks of their hunting squad. The American Hunters Association will be getting a boost from some famous faces in this latest update. As announced in an official update on the game’s website today, some of the leading names from some of Crytek’s biggest game franchises will be available to hunt with in-game for a limited period. The iconic new hunter characters involved are named as follows.
- Prophet from Crysis
- Marius Titus from Ryse: Son of Rome
- “Climber” from The Climb
- Laika from Robinson: The Journey
These new Hunters will all have their own unique and character-specific skillsets, which means players will have time to master their individual styles of gameplay. These involve legendary strength, speed and cloaking abilities for the iconic Prophet. For the legendary warrior Marius Titus, the ancient Roman art of gladiatorial combat and sword fighting will be a new challenge for the monsters of the bayou. “Climber” will, of course, be able to do a whole lot of climbing that other characters can’t, which means there’ll be major tactical and height-based advantages across the field when playing as this character.
Finally, in a really exciting (and incredibly cute, in a predatory kind of way) twist on the Hunter and prey concept, Laika will be the first-ever playable dinosaur in Hunt: Showdown, as a baby T-Rex.

Hunt: Showdown is out now and is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
