The March update for Marvel’s Avengers will be published today for PlayStation, Xbox, Steam and Stadia. In what looks like a fairly major update, players can expect to see a number of changes. Earth’s mightiest heroes will have to deal with a big of a makeover for the war table according to the patch notes.
However, some PS5 players are currently having problems accessing the new update after installation, with many reporting crashes in the cut scenes after updating. Hopefully, this will be a temporary issue as the update is being rolled out, as the patch notes promise some exciting new changes.
The new update sees the Marvel’s Avengers team trying to make the War Table onboarding process easier for newcomers to the game. This will be done with the return of the much-loved Nick Fury, who will be making an appearance in-game to help players through the new changes to the War Table system.
Missions, Mission Chains and Factions will all see some changes implemented with a view to improving the game’s multiplayer experience for both new and current players. In addition, Matchmaking from the War Table will now only be enabled for specific mission types outside of Quickmatch.
Alongside the changes to the War Table, some new features are being introduced as part of update 2.3. In the Discordant Sound Raid, rewards will now drop from major encounters in the raid, rather than at the end, and there are now four instances within the raid that will drop gear.
Vaults and Villain Sector rewards will also see some changes, as will taking part in the Hero-Bound Mega Hives. There are also some art and animation based changes to the playable characters that fans may find interesting.
You can read the patch notes in full over on the Marvel’s Avengers website right now.
