Wasteland 2, InXile's post-apocalyptic role-playing game, now has a release date on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Wasteland 2 is the sequel to the game upon which the Fallout series drew its inspiration from.
The game will be out on October 13 and make its way to consoles will all new features previously unseen in the game's initial PC release.
Dubbed the Director's Cut, this version of the game features a complete visual overhaul with an all new lighting system, detailed environments, improved textures, and more complex character models. The game also adds new voiceovers with "tens of thousands" of new lines, and updated weapon sounds.
Beyond video and audio improvements, the game's user interface has been updated with support for controllers. Gameplay-wise, there's also a new "Precision Strike" and a new "Perks & Traits" system allowing players to further customize their characters.
PC owners of the game will have their copies of Wasteland 2 automatically updated to the Game of the Year Edition for free. It includes all of the upgrades mentioned above.
