Nintendo Co Ltd. has launched a new site for Devil’s Third, which elucidates on many elements in the game, including download size and, more surprisingly, microtransactions.
Among other things, you will be able to use your money to buy Golden Eggs, which you can use to buy gear directly, including weapons and equipment, or in-game currency. No word if this will be available in the single player campaign, but it does seem geared for online multiplayer.
Multiplayer modes include Team Deathmatch, Cross Fight, and Carnival, where two teams fight to control a set of fruits. The main mode involves taking control over different areas of the US, and this is likely where the clans come in.
If you’re buying the game digitally, it’s a 16.4 GB download. Each Wii U user gets a separate file, but only one file each, so you will have to log in and out of each account if you’re sharing a console and a game. We already know the game supports the GamePad and the Pro Controller. USB keyboard support is purely just for text chat. Off-TV play is available, so if you ever wanted to use every control option all at the same time, you can do that too.
It should be interesting to see if the game sees improvements or changes when it finally comes to the West. Aside from graphics and performance, what do you hope Valhalla could change in between? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
Devil’s Third comes out on Wii U on August 4th in Japan, August 28th in Europe, and in Q4 2015 in North America. The free-to-start multiplayer only PC edition seems to be launching in Japan this September.
