A number of theories have been thrown around regarding how the sole survivor of Vault 111 stayed alive all those years in Fallout 4. The possibility that he’s an android will remain a farfetched theory, because GameInformer has confirmed that Vault 111 is in fact a cryolab facility.
In the recent issue of GameInformer magazine, they wrote:
“After you play through the evacuation sequence on the day the nukes fall, you emerge from a cryosleep some 200 years later as the sole survivor of Vault 111.”
How does this confirmation affect the story, though? Surely a cryolab facility should have been big enough to accommodate more than one person. YouTuber MrMattyPlays suggests that something must have happened for this Vault Dweller to be the only one left.
This fact had been a rumor for a while, even appearing on the leaked scripts, but no one really wanted to believe that. Considering all the Fallout 4-related hoaxes that people have pulled in the past, it’s understandable that fans wouldn’t want to believe in rumors. Especially now that the game has officially been announced, speculations don’t hold much water.
Fallout 4 comes out November 10 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
