Going to SDCC? You need to go seek out Nintendo’s booth right now, for something special. Tucked between the other amiibos is a prototype for the Mewtwo amiibo!

Mewtwo, of course, is the first DLC character for Super Smash Bros for 3DS and Wii U. Having released considerably later than other characters, and considering Nintendo still is not done releasing amiibo for the previous Smash characters, it will be some time before Mewtwo’s amiibo finally arrives in stores.
Thus far, use of Pokemon amiibo has been limited as well, so perhaps the delay is for the better. Either way, if you can get there, it will be the last the public will get to see of a Mewtwo amiibo for quite some time.
In some other hopeful news, word on the street is that Palutena will not be a retailer exclusive. This is based on the figure’s listing, which has a find a retailer button on it. Dark Pit, unfortunately, does not have such a button, so that remains exclusive to Best Buy. However, perhaps future rereleases of this and other amiibo will no longer be exclusive to any retailer anymore, to ensure everyone can get the amiibo they want.
PSA | Palutena may not be an exclusive. Exclusive amiibo do not have the "Find a retailer" button. Just speculation.. pic.twitter.com/3nEjRL1BtJ
