Rising Storm 2 Vietnam, Next Red Orchestra Series Game, Revealed

June 16, 2015 by Ryan Parreno

It should be interesting to see if there will be narrative connections to the first game, which is set in WW2 Pacific.

Tripwire Interactive has revealed Rising Storm 2 Vietnam, a new game they are codeveloping with Antimatter games.

The previous Rising Storm started out as an expansion to Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad codeveloped with modders. This game focused on the World War 2 Pacific campaign. It was announced in 2010 and was released in 2013 to overwhelming positive reception.

Rising Storm 2 Vietnam is obviously set during the Vietnam War, and it should be interesting to see if there will be narrative connections to the first game, much like in the Call of Duty games. Based on Tripwire’s track record, it may take a while before it gets released. Interestingly, Tripwire introduces it as a new installment in the Red Orchestra series.
