We got our first look at Uncharted 4's single-player campaign at Sony's E3 2015 press conference today, where the event was closed out with a brand new stretch of content, demonstrated live at the event.
After a false start threatened to crash the show, Sony and Naughty Dog finally managed to get the ball rolling with Nathan Drake as he's accompanied by his pal Sully as they make their way through a South American town in a rather violent fashion after being ambushed by a squad of hostile troopers intent on ending their lives.
After a lengthy gunfight, Sully and Nathan board a mud-splattered jeep and make their way down the city and speed past soldiers and townspeople alike, all the while avoiding an APC intent on taking them out.
The demo concludes with Nathan using a grappling hook on a moving crane while dodging obstacles in his path.
Throughout the gameplay demo, Nathan displays some new combat moves, including a drop attack he performs upon a soldier, whom he knocks down and disarms.
The environment appears to be much more open than ever before, though progression through the game still appears to be linear.
Having been delayed once, the game is slated for release in early 2016. Uncharted 4 is exclusive to the PlayStation 4.
