In some very exciting news today, EA and Lucasfilm Games announced that three new Star Wars titles are currently in development. The upcoming games include a sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, “a new Star Wars FPS from Peter Hirschmann, and a Strategy Game via a Publishing Collaboration Between Respawn and Bit Reactor.”
A press release published by EA has revealed information about the Star Wars games. Game developers Respawn Entertainment, best known for Apex Legends and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, have taken on all three games. As told by EA, “Game Director Stig Asmussen and his team at the studio are already working on the next game in the action-adventure Star Wars Jedi series, and are joined by two new teams working to deliver additional unique Star Wars gameplay experiences across multiple genres.”
Game Director at Respawn, Peter Hirschmann, will lead the development of the Star Wars first-person shooter in the works. Speaking on the project Hirschmann said, “Working with Lucasfilm Games on a new FPS in the Star Wars galaxy is a dream come true for me, as this is a story I have always wanted to tell.” The game director is the former VP of development at LucasArts and “was executive producer on the original Star Wars Battlefront games.” It was also revealed that the FPS has only just begun development.
Additionally, “games industry veteran” Greg Foerstch will helm the “Star Wars strategy game developed through a production collaboration with the newly formed studio Bit Reactor.” Respawn will take the lead on producing the game, with Bit Reactor taking care of its development.

Rumors have swirled around the sequel to Fallen Order for months, and it’s nice to have confirmation on its development. Hopefully, more info on these three new titles releases soon.
