One of the problems with games these days is that you can rarely tell what they’re about unless you watch a Let’s Play video of them–but there’s very little opportunity to actually get your hands on the title and experiencing it for yourself unless you pay for it. In the good old days, it used to be possible to download or install a demo off a CD to check out a sampling of the game, much as you would with a sample bottle of perfume.
If you haven’t played Telepath Tactics, and have no idea what the game is even about, then you’re in luck, as its developer Sinister Design, has prepared a demo for the game. It’s prepared especially for players who don’t know what the game is about but want to check it out. It’s pretty rare in this day and age, so we applaud them for putting together a demo version of the game, which is out for the Mac, Linux, and of course the PC.
In case you haven’t already guessed by the name, Telepath Tactics is a tactical turn-based game. The demo gives you a handful of battles and scenes cut from the main campaign, as well as a local multiplayer 1v1 mode where you can do battle against the AI or one of your friends in the hotseat.
It’s worth checking out. If you like it, grab it from Steam.
