Some promotional materials for Call of Duty Black Ops 3 have leaked early, revealing much of what we can expect for the game.
A retail poster has already revealed the release date: Friday, November 6, 2015. That’s about three weeks before the very important Black Friday weekend.
There will be a beta for Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, but these may not be the only final platforms for the game. Treyarch may be aiming to cast a wide net again, so Wii U, PS3, and Xbox 360 owners may not be missing out.
These other promotional materials claim to have the first gameplay screenshot, and details on game elements. To sum:
· There will be a four player online co-op campaign.
· Gameplay will combine open area arena and cinematic elements.
· Progression is customization based, between weapons, loadouts, abilities, and outfits.
· Treyarch describes a momentum based chained-movement system, which sounds like a fancy way of describing parkour, or free running elements.
· The maps will be built around this idea, but you will also be able to move around in the normal way if you choose to.
· There is a new specialist character system. So, on top of the conventional progression system, you can level up individual characters based on what weapons and abilities they are best at.
· Finally, and of course, there is a Zombies mode, with its own story and experience based progression system.
