Turn Based Strategy Game Skyworld Announced for Vive VR

March 4, 2015 by Stephen Daly

Available this year as both a seated and full room VR experience.

Dutch developer Vertigo Games has announced turn based strategy game Skyworld for Valve and HTC's virtual reality system Vive.

Set for release this year, Skyworld has been built "to take full advantage of HTC and Valve's revolutionary Full Room Scale 360 Degree Solution". In the game, you'll be able to explore the battle map and rule your nation from any angle, as though you're standing at the heart of the game world.

Players will need to create armies, develope economies, and gain control of dragons to help restore the kingdom to its glory days. "Armed with the king's scepter, powered by the most powerful magic in the world, and with the knowledge of the magic book of spells at their fingertips, it is up to them to tame the mighty dragons and bring back all Skyworlds from the hands of evil," a press release comments.

Skyworld will be available on Steam this year as both a full room and seated VR experience.
