We have a new batch of screenshots for Rise of The Tomb Raider.
The game will be set in Siberia, Eastern Russia, once again chasing down the shadows of a mysterious secret society hinted at in the first game.
In contrast to the initial announce trailer’s archer-like hood, Lara dressed up tightly for Siberia, with what may be a signature red fur coat. There is one screenshot of her eschewing the coat and mountain climbing equipment, for her more familiar tank top. In that one shot, she seems to have found a sunny oasis of ruins, perhaps near the very top of the isolated peaks?
Lara will also have a lot to do in the snow crusted landscapes of Siberia, including explore an abandoned town, ascend the treacherous mountains, contend with avalanches and wildlife, and more.
And yes, it’s hard to ignore that picture of Lara facing a bear head-on. One wonders if Lara will be facing a lot of wildlife in the game, and if she will be playing big game hunter on the side. It is certainly a good place to find some of the most dangerous predators in the world, including wolves, tigers and leopards. There’s also no lack of animals to hunt for food, including native fish, birds, elk, moose, and squirrel.
Rise of The Tomb Raider will be launched exclusively for Xbox 360 and Xbox One this year. Check out the new screenshots below.
