Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain has been a long time coming. There was a demo for the game released last year in the form of Ground Zeroes, as well as spin-off Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance in 2013. Later this year, we'll finally be able to delve into the fifth main series entry.
One of the latest changes to the Metal Gear franchise is the addition of open world gameplay. If you've been paying attention to the development of Metal Gear Solid 5, then you'll know that this change will be implemented in full through The Phantom Pain. Your helicopter acts a sort of 'home base,' where you can choose what support buddies will assist you in the field. If you want, you can go it alone, as Metal Gear protagonists of yesteryear have done in the past.
A new video published by YongYea on Youtube discusses a screenshot of the game that details the helicopter layout. He thinks that there will be room for up to six different battle buddies. While that's an awful lot of space to dedicate to one facet of the game, it's an interesting notion.
