Racing fans have some good news coming: there's more futuristic racer gameplay on the horizon. Formula Fusion is a game being developed by ex-Wipeout developers. It's being touted as a spiritual successor to the series, and considering we haven't seen anything from the Wipeout franchise since 2048 in 2012, it's good to see someone making an attempt at a game like this.
The project hit Steam Greenlight just a little while ago, and is currently in the pre-production phase. This means that any gameplay or content that you see now is not representative of anything you will see in the final product. R8 Studios, who is developing Formula Fusion, has published this trailer detailing some of the additions to their new game franchise. It's very WipeOut, but it also looks like they've done enough to separate themselves from any negative association.
