Resident Evil HD is going to be a next-generation remake of the series' first title. Considering many gamers in the current generation have only played the newer Resident Evil games, this should prove to be a pretty successful remaster for Capcom, who develops the franchise.
The game’s store page mentions that there will be some interesting preorder offers making their way around the marketplace. For those who choose to buy the game through Sony's storefront, you'll be getting a couple of cool gifts: an exclusive Resident Evil theme and cross-buy compatability.
Cross-buy has traditionally been available as a freebie among some of Playstation's titles, but it looks like the Japanese giant wants to monetize the free service by turning it into an incentive program. Considering the fact that Sony was basically giving out free games, we're not surprised they've had a change of heart in this area.
Resident Evil HD is a remake of the Gamecube version of the title. It'll release in January and have 1080p resolution, among other upgrades.
