If you're not familiar with the troubles that Ubisoft has been facing with their game development lately, then you're probably living as a veritable gaming industry hermit. The most notorious of Ubisoft's recent failings comes in the form of Assassin's Creed: Unity. There were hundreds of bugs plaguing the title, rendering it near unplayable in certain instances. Ubisoft has done a fine job of patching and fixing the game since its launch, but these issues aren't relegated just to Assassin's Creed. There have been a myriad of other Ubisoft-developed titles that have had a lot of problems post-launch. As it turns out, one of their most recent releases – The Crew – follows that same trend.
Players who have allotted high-ranking statistics may want to be careful when using The Crew. It appears that a major bug is erasing players' statistics. Luckily, this issue does not affect the important aspects of the game. Things like cars, money, or levels haven't been reported to go missing by anyone just yet. Some players have even noted that the statistics that are affected return to normal by logging in and out a few times. We're hoping that Ubisoft comes up with a fix that can satisfy those gamers who have been charging ahead on the leaderboards since The Crew's launch. Being one of the first major racing games of this console generation, Ubisoft has something of a duty to fix this.
A patch is due out later today that should address these issues.
