Capcom is hard at work on a number of titles for various consoles right now. Apparently, there's even more coming down the veritable pipeline, as Dengeki PlayStation this week reveals that the company is working on even more content. The article in question features a questionnaire with over 107 developers, including the director of Dragon’s Dogma, producer of its Dark Arisen expansion, and the producer of the Sengoku Basara series.
- Dragon’s Dogma director Hideaki Itsuno: “We’ve got several games in the pipeline right now. One of them is even in the last stages right now. We should be able to announce it soon.”
- Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen producer Minaeu Matsukawa: “We’re working really hard to get ready for people to learn about what we have coming up in 2015 and get them excited to play those games.”
- Sengoku Basara series producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi: “2015 will mark the 10th anniversary of the Sengoku Basara franchise. You can expect a lot of exciting announcements and developments in light of the occasion.”
Dragon's Dogma Online was trademarked last week, so the safe bet is that they'll be announcing that. However, there's always the chance this announcement catches us completely off guard. The end result is more games either way, so really – everybody wins!
For those of you who aren't aware, Capcom is working pretty closely with Sony these days; both Deep Down and Street Fighter 5 are being developed exclusively for the Playstation 4. While its unlikely, be prepared in the event that this new game announcement comes in the form of yet another Playstation 4-exclusive title.
