You guys – Far Cry 4 is so close. We have been eagerly awaiting the fourth entry into the franchise since we finished Far Cry 3 and to say that we are beyond excited is an understatement. The Far Cry series is interesting because it has grown and flourished from such humble beginnings. The first two iterations into the series were far from amazing titles, but Far Cry 3 really raised the bar. Some would argue that the third game had Game of the Year implications when it was released in late 2012.
Here we are two years later and the fourth entry is at our doorstep. Brandishing a November 18, 2014 release date, the Far Cry 4 universe has gifted us with another trailer detailing the beautiful regions of Kyrat. While this particular gameplay video follows the same format as the others in its veritable series, it is unique in that it talks about specific locations in the game. A couple of the more interesting locales discussed are the "Sky Prison" and one very bloody arena, meant for gladatorial combat. It appears that this arena will have you fighting human and animal alike, as you fight to stay alive under the thumb of Pagan Min, who will be Far Cry 4's primary antagonist. Min captures the special brand of Far Cry villains that we have come to know and love. Min reminds us in many ways of Far Cry 3's Vaas Montenegro. Though, Min strikes us as more cold and calculated.
Here is the gameplay video in question:
