Since the 2011 release of the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, I'd be hard-pressed to say a fantasy-based RPG has really taken tne market by storm. While Dragon Age 2 might have released around the same time, its strength was greatly diminished by Skyrim's monstrously popularity. It is sad to say, but when you've got two games using the same sort of fantasy archetype and one of them is scoring 10s while the other is barely scraping by with 8s, it is fair to say that the one scoring higher will win out in the sales race.
However, none of this is to say that Dragon Age 2 was bad. By all accounts, it was and is a great game! The next entry into the series, Dragon Age: Inquisition will be looking to take up the series' mantle and deliver and experience just as big – if not biger – than Skyrim. Some gameplay we posted yesterday shows just how much the game will be offering in simple customization. If there is so much attention being paid by Bioware to this small aspect of development, we can only dream of what they are acheiving in other areas of the game. Everything we have seen regarding Inquisition has been absolutely outstanding, and a new gameplay video looks to add more coal to the veritable fire that fuels its hype train.
Detailing the main classes available for players to choose, as well as some of the interesting characters inhabiting the world of Inquisition, this gameplay video offers a whole host of new content to peer over and digest. A note in the video description says that all of the footage in this video was captured from live gameplay, which is just music to our ears, because the game is looking quite gorgeous.
