The first Dragon Age game came out in 2009 to mixed reviews. The second iteration released in 2011, garnerning a slightly more positive response to the game's architecture. Now, in 2014, we're set to see the series' third addition in the form of Dragon Age: Inquisition. The hopes for this title are exceedingly high and as the game's November 18, 2014 release date gets closer and closer, we're left to ponder if the upward trend of quality game development will continue or not. We're leaning on the side that says improvement will surface, as the game can only be getting more funding, given its enormous popularity.
Luckily, Bioware had two of its developers – Jason and Cameron Lee – show off a small portion of the game. While we would normally be subjected to sword-slinging and fire breathing dragons right off the bat, this gameplay segment takes us first through Skyhold. This town is nestled deep in the mountains, well above the rest of the world. It's a fortress in and of itself and provides a resting place for the player in between his or her travels. Players will have the option to customize Skyhold to their liking, strengthening the veritable castle as you progress through the game; Skyhold is pretty worn down when you first boot the game up and arrive there.
Here is part 1 of 2, uploaded by Youtuber ChandlerUSMC:
It does not appear that the second portion has been uploaded yet, though we would advise you to keep an eye out for it, if you're interested in learning more about Skyhold and its denizens.
