The release of Ubisoft Montreal’s highly-anticipated Far Cry 4 is growing very near and our excitement for the game is at an all-time high. The title releases on November 18 next month and given the series’ penchant for improvement, the expectation is that Far Cry 4 will be the best of the franchise.
Today, a new trailer detailing one region – The Lowlands – was published. You’ll have to traverse your way through the “rolling hilltops” and “wetland marshes” as you fight your way through what will assuredly be a copious amount of enemies. The environments themselves are something of a spectacle, and should provide quite the interesting backdrop for all of the game’s gunplay. The different regions of Kryat should also prove to put you at odds with some pretty interesting wildlife. For instance, we’ve already seen bears, rhinos and tigers.
The trailer also details the game’s travel system, which will feature the use of normal vehicles, hovercrafts and even a unique gyrocopter named the “Buzzer.” Far Cry 3 offered gamers the option to Fast Travel. For those of you who don’t want to drive everywhere, we’re almost positive that Ubisoft will make this a feature of Far Cry 4. The trailer also shows some downright devilish weaponry, which we’ve detailed in an earlier post.
The game’s graphics are looking pretty dazzling. Exploring these environments should be a true pleasure, especially if you’re playing the game on PC or eighth generation consoles. Check out the trailer below and let us know if you’re as stoked as we are!
